Cars of today, cars of yesterday, cars not yet available, and cars most can only dream about.

That about sums up the 2011 AutoShow at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, 255 Front St. W., that officially kicked off Feb. 18 and runs until Feb. 27, 2011.

During the first Saturday of the show, Feb. 19, countless car enthusiasts packed the large convention centre showrooms to take in the sleek models of today and tomorrow, as several major names in the automobile world showed off their current wares as well as future 'green' vehicles.

The latter array of vehicles includes the Nissan LEAF, advertised as 100 per cent electric.

According to the Nissan USA website, 20,000 people have already reserved a LEAF. The vehicle features zero tailpipe emissions, has a range of 100 miles, and can travel up to 90 miles per hour, according to the site.
